Since this is a judgment free zone. . . There are 17,207 photos currently on my phone. Pretty much my entire married life, mostly everyday of my 6 year old ‘s life (minus that time I switched phones that I still can’t talk about it.) My phone is also full of screenshots, every cute idea I want to remember outside of Pinterest. Why tho?
I think I may be a digital hoarder. Is that a thing? Maybe I’m a picture hoarder. Or maybe I just ignore how many pics I have until my storage is full. (You know how that goes, feverishly deleting all the pictures of inanimate objects and non-family members before the happy birthday song ends. It ain’t right yawl.)
With all these amazing pictures on my phone you would think I’d have walls covered with beautiful memories. I don’t. In fact, I don’t even have the basics up… our wedding pictures, children, family. I know shocking isn’t it?!
I guess after moving a bagillion times to be closer to help my parents I lost the and energy to adorn my walls. The complete opposite of the “Wall of Love” I used to have in my pre-sandwiched daughter days.
So here we are, thousands of pictures on my phone and hardly any framed in real life. It really is pitiful.
But that ends now!
Valentine’s Day 2020, I kicked off the first cr8joi challenge with the Love it! Frame it! Challenge.
Here’s what we are doing. From Valentine’s Day until the next challenge this Spring, we are going to fave, upload, print, and frame 10 pictures off our phone.
1. Love it!
Go through your phone and intentionally seek out 10 of your favorite photos. Save them to your favorites by tapping the heart at the bottom. Yes you could upload way more, and you just might. But the point here is to get 10 of your faves off your phone. You may print some small for you desk. Or big for walls. Fave-ing 10 is your starting point.
2. Upload!
Upload the pictures to your local store. Personally, I’ve been printing pictures at Walgreens forever now. I have the app on my phone and I create folders and upload pictures from events. I like Walgreens because the prints are crisp and fast and they always have a good sale. There are tons of online ordering options out there.
3. Print!
Once you upload your order don’t forget to follow through! Don’t abandon your cart! Don’t drive past the drugstore! Follow through and print those pictures!!!
4. Frame it!
You can get frames for $1 at the Dollar Store, unique ones from Homegoods, or expensive ones from Macy’s. You might even repurpose or fill up ones you already have. You know your budget. There are so many kinds of frames To choose from so this part should be fun and easy. Especially since you are choosing the frames based on the pictures you loved, not the other way around. One more added assurance that you are going to follow through.
That’s it~ The Love It! Frame it! Cr8joi Challenge!
Let’s do it! Are you in?
